“And when Athaliah the mother of Ahaziah saw that her son was dead, she arose and destroyed all the seed royal.” (2 Kings 11: 1)
That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.
Our Focal Scripture speaks of how Athaliah arose and slew the entire royal family because her son was dead. Notice that Athaliah was the daughter of Ahab (see 2 Kings 8 vs. 18, 26). Notice also that God had instructed Jehu to wipe out the whole house of Ahab (see 2 Kings 9 vs. 7-8). Jehu did a great job of wiping the house of Ahab, but in our Focal Scripture, the one he did not wipe out, arose and wiped out the entire royal family in Judah.
Friend, in your journey through destiny, make your warfare complete. Don’t allow any negativity to survive. Don’t allow any Athaliah to survive. Don’t allow any wickedness of the wicked to survive. Don’t allow the seed of destruction to survive. Don’t allow the machinations of the enemy to survive. Don’t allow what the Lord did not ordain to survive. Don’t allow the systems of hell to survive. Don’t spare the house of Ahab.
Jehu left Athaliah untouched, and Athaliah simply replicated the wickedness of Jezebel amongst their seed royal in Judah. What he failed to decimate, arose in the future to decimate the entire lineage of the kings of Judah. Hear me as I hear the Lord: if God has commanded you to cut it down, then cut it down before it turns around to cut you off. If God has commanded you to wipe it away, wipe it, before it wipes off your next generation.
The same way the sons of the giant came back for David in 2 Samuel 21, there are Athaliah’s waiting to stage a comeback if they are allowed to thrive. There are wicked systems positioning for resurgence if they are given a chance to arise again. There are Athaliah’s that will come for your entire lineage if you let them survive. If you have the mandate of heaven to wipe them out, then don’t spare them before they come back to wipe you out.
Be intentional to defeat all that God has empowered you to defeat. Don’t leave behind seeds of negativity that will truncate your future. As you approach your bigger place, make your warfare complete.
Psalm 18: 37-38 says: “37. I have pursued mine enemies, and overtaken them: neither did I turn again till they were consumed. 38. I have wounded them that they were not able to rise: they are fallen under my feet.”
Declare With Me: My warfare shall be complete; nothing will remain, in Jesus’ name!
