“1. And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: 5. And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron...” (Revelations 12: 1, 5)
That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.
Our Focal Scripture speaks of the woman who was clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and with a crown of stars. This woman eventually birthed a child who was to rule the nations with a rod of iron. The woman, as described, was clothed with glory, and she eventually brought forth a child with a great destiny. Glory was the identity of the woman who brought forth a great destiny. A woman with glory birthed a great child.
Friend, the glory on your life will determine the greatness of the destinies you will bring forth. A parent with no glory will bring forth ordinary children. A person with no glory will birth ordinary results. People with no encounters will bring forth ordinary results. People with no substantial encounters may not easily bring forth extraordinary children, greatness, etc. The extent of the glory of God upon a life will determine the greatness that it births. No glory might just mean no greatness birthed.
Often times, great destinies are birthed because someone chose to be the destiny midwife that chose the path of glory. Often, the greatness you see in one generation was founded on the prayers and consecration of a previous generation. The same way a suckling child would require nourishment through a mother, so also heaven often routes the greatness of a child through a parent with glory. Glory missing in the life of a parent is missed greatness in the life of the offspring.
When the enemy attacks your prayer life, consecration, communion, etc., it is not entirely about you; he just might be hitting on your next generation. There are divine supplies that heaven has routed to your children through you, and choosing to live in spiritual laziness, without glory, is to deny the next generation what heaven has in store for them. How you live either lets something flow, or obstructs something from flowing.
Don’t fail your next generation. Don’t be the reason why what heaven ordained for them never got to them. Choose the path of glory, and you will birth an uncommon next generation.
2 Corinthians 3: 7 says: “But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:”
Declare With Me: I choose the path of the glory of God; my next generation will not be ordinary, in Jesus’ name!
