"Herod ordered his own soldiers to search for him, but they could not find him. Then he questioned the guards and had them put to death. After this, Herod left Judea to stay in Caesarea for a while.” (Acts 12: 19 CEV)
That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.
Our Focal Scripture speaks of how Herod ordered his soldiers to search for Peter. The Angel of the Lord had led Peter out of prison, yet Herod was committed to finding and executing him to the extent that he sent people to keep searching for Peter. Herod was determined to clamp down on Peter. Herod was committed to fulfilling his evil wishes on Peter even when Peter already escaped. He was determined to execute Peter.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: every evil man that is determined to fulfil an evil agenda against you, may El Roi reply them. Let the Lord arise against every stubborn pursuer that says you will not be allowed to enjoy the freedom that Christ already granted you. Let the Lord arise against every satanic system that is chasing after you in order to harm you. Let the Lord arise against every evil determination against you.
The Lord will disappoint those who desperately want to bring you down. The Lord will disappoint those who want to reduce your destiny. The Lord will disappoint those who want to chase you into the grave. The Lord will disappoint those who want to suppress your success. The Lord will disappoint those who want to keep you at the same level where they met you. The Lord will disappoint every ‘Herod’ that wants you dead by all means.
The same Peter that was top on Herod’s wanted list, eventually outlived this particular Herod. So, Herod chased and chased after Peter, but never succeeded. Hear me as I hear the Lord: you will outlive every stubborn pursuer that is against you. You will outlive every wicked plot that is hatched against you. You will outlive the conspiracies hatched against you. You will outlive every Herod that currently seeks your end.
Welcome to that season where the stubborn pursuers against you will go down. Welcome to that season where El Roi will reply every stubborn pursuer against you.
Exodus 15: 1 says: “Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the LORD, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the LORD, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.”
Declare With Me: I will outlive every stubborn pursuer against me, in Jesus’ name!
