“And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.” (Matthew 28: 7)
That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.
In our Focal Scripture, the angel of the Lord told the women to go quickly and tell the disciples of Jesus that He is risen from the dead. These women were to take the message of Jesus’ resurrection to the disciples. They were not meant to speak about the plan to anoint Jesus’ body. They were not even meant to speak about the guards at the sepulcher. They were not meant to speak of the stone. They were to speak of Jesus’ resurrection. They were to speak of what the Lord had done.
Friend, it may often be convenient to speak of what is wrong all around you; it may be convenient to speak of the stones at the sepulcher; it may be convenient to speak of the satanic gatekeepers at the sepulcher; it may seem realistic to speak of what the enemy is doing all around you; it may be convenient to speak of how things have gone wrong; but God’s word to you is, speak of what the Lord has done; speak of the wonders of El Roi; speak of the works of Jesus.
The women came to the sepulcher in search of Jesus’ body, and they were sent as carriers of the news of resurrection. They were not sent to advertise the wickedness of the guards or the stone at the door of the sepulcher. Don’t let the enemy make you an advertiser of what is wrong in your environment. Don’t let the enemy make you an ambassador of the works of darkness. Even if there are guards and a stone, it’s not your message.
Life and death are in the power of the tongue. Your tongue is not for the announcement of what the enemy has done. You are an ambassador for Christ. Say what the Lord has done. Speak the word of the Lord. Speak of the works that are yet to be made manifest. Speak of the kindness of God that is manifesting all around you. Speak of the victory that Jesus already gained on your behalf. Speak of the works of God.
Never let the enemy enlist you to speak of his works. You are the mouthpiece of El Roi, commissioned to speak of His works. Speak the word of the Lord. Speak of the wonders of El Roi.
Psalm 145: 21 says: “My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD: and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever.”
Declare With Me: My mouth will speak of the wonders of El Roi, in Jesus’ name!
