NO OBSCURITY (06-02-2026)

“For it was so, while Jezebel massacred the prophets of the LORD, that Obadiah had taken one hundred prophets and hidden them, fifty to a cave, and had fed them with bread and water.” (1 Kings 18: 4 NKJV)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

In our Focal Scripture, because of the massacre of prophets by Jezebel, Obadiah the governor of the house of Ahab, took one hundred prophets and hid them in caves, in fifties. Prophets who ordinarily ought to be prophesying, ended up in caves because of Jezebel. Their assignments as prophets were suspended because of Jezebel. Their ministries as God's messengers were put on hold indefinitely, because of Jezebel.

The spirit of Jezebel is that spirit that wants to put your assignment and destiny mandate on hold. The spirit of Jezebel is that spirit that wants to make a mess of your capacity and keep you in obscurity. The spirit of Jezebel is that spirit that targets great men but wants to mitigate their greatness. The spirit of Jezebel is that spirit that wants men with capacity to dwell in caves. The spirit of Jezebel is that spirit that wants light to be hidden.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: every satanic attack that wants to keep your destiny in hiding, I decree, it will not prevail. Every plot of the enemy to mitigate your greatness and silence your destiny, I decree, he will not prevail. Every plan of the enemy to cause you to go into hiding, I decree, it will not prevail. You will not start on the mountain top and end in the valley. You will not start in visibility and end in obscurity.

Notice that these one hundred prophets did not cease to be prophets. They remained prophets, but could not function in the office of prophets because of the threat of Jezebel. They remained in hiding even when the had capacity to be in the spotlight in their assignment. Hear me as I hear the Lord: powers that say you will still have capacity, but your capacity will not be seen, I silence them. I silence every power that wants to silence you.

Welcome to that season where your voice will be heard in the mountains. Welcome to that season where your greatness will not be in hiding.

Isaiah 25: 7 says: “And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations.”
