“And Ahab spake unto Naboth, saying, Give me thy vineyard, that I may have it for a garden of herbs, because it is near unto my house: and I will give thee for it a better vineyard than it; or, if it seem good to thee, I will give thee the worth of it in money.” (1 Kings 21: 2)
That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.
In our Focal Scripture, Ahab reached out to Naboth and requested that he acquire the vineyard of Naboth and turn same to a vegetable garden. Ahab wanted to reduce the vineyard of Naboth into a vegetable garden. In bible times, owning a vineyard was a sign of wealth; the same could not be said of a vegetable garden. So, Ahab wanted to take a thing of value, owned by Naboth, and turn same to something without value.
Friend, don’t let the enemy turn your vineyard into a garden of vegetables. Don’t allow the enemy to make a mess of what the Lord has already put in your hands. Don’t allow the systems of hell to decapitate and depreciate the valuables that heaven has blessed you with. Don’t allow any satanic invasion to reduce your health. Don’t allow the enemy to take what is yours and make it less than it is meant to be. No demonic exchange.
Don’t allow the enemy to take your greatness and make a mess of it. Don’t allow the enemy to hijack your focus and commitment, and make a mess of same. Don’t allow the enemy to take your profitable relationships down the drains. Don’t allow the enemy to make you lose what you ought to gain. Don’t allow the enemy to make you abandon what you ought to retain. Don’t allow the enemy to exchange your strength with weakness.
Ahab announced his plan for Naboth’s vineyard. He didn’t mince words about the fact that he wanted to make it into something which was not as valuable as the vineyard itself. He didn’t mince words in announcing that he wanted to make into something insignificant. When the enemy shows up, be sure that he is seeking a chance to make you into something insignificant. The plan of the enemy is exchange and reduction.
The days when you would sit back and watch the enemy hijack your vineyard and make same into some insignificant garden of herbs, should be over already. Don’t let what is yours be reduced by the enemy.
John 10: 10 says: “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
Declare With Me: The enemy will not exchange what is important to me with what is unimportant, in Jesus’ name!
